Former gay porn star turned on-again, off-again boyfriend of fashion designer Calvin Klein Nick Gruber has joined the ranks of Andre Leon Talley and Donnie McClurkin by claiming that they are not gay. Word on the street is that Calvin got Nick, who has gotten in trouble in the past for cocaine possession, infidelities and other infamous bullshit a publicist to clean up his act because Nick wants to be come an fashion model.
Publicist Matt Rich has already secured Nick a shoot with New York Magazine, and the bullshit article not only downplays his past porn career (saying his name was Aaron Skyline when her jerked off on SeanCody.com under the name Zeke) but also refers to Calvin as Nick's "friend".
Here is what he said about hiding his sexuality while in the Army:
“I mean, basically what happened was that the gay community—” he pauses to adjust. His sexuality is clearly undefined, even to him (he’s also dated women and tells me, “I plan to have a child when I’m 30 years old”). “I’m not gay, but I don’t believe in labels, I believe in love. So the gay community in Fort Riley, Kansas, was really bad”—he means this in the sense that it was dangerous to be gay there. “A lot of people, they would get beat up, or you’ll be sleeping in a bunk and the next thing you know your roommate could come over and smash your head in, and no one really knows about it,” he says. When rumors came out about him, “They just said, ‘You have to leave for your safety.’ ” He was discharged under “don’t ask, don’t tell.”
On Calvin Klein hiding his sexuality:
As for Nick maybe he's still trying to figure out his sexuality and from what I read from the interview he's looking for someone older to give him the love he never got from his parents. On the flip side he could also be doing whatever he has to in order to become famous. So while people like Calvin Klein will take advantage of young trade, the youth have no problem giving up their body parts to shop on Rodeo Drive, to drive the hottest car and to hang with some of the biggest celebrities.
