TRAILER TRASH: FAST & FURIOUS 6

I'm going to go on the record and say that after all the hype in regards to the Super Bowl trailers, I was beyond disappointed. Audi even got slick and tried to act like people were up in arms over a white guy speaking with a Jamaican patois (and had even went on the record to say the ad was pulled), but then yesterday came and the commercial was shown anyway. Even the choices in movie trailers sucked. The trailer for Star Trek that came out last month was far more exciting than the super bowl spot that was shown yesterday, but the most exciting trailer that premiered was Fast & Furious 6.

Below is a synposis of the latest installment:

Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian's (Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin's empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.

Meanwhile, Hobbs (Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Rodriguez). The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.
Fast 6 stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Elsa Pataky, Luke Evans and Gina Carano, and will be in theaters on May 24.

I actually thought Fast 5 was the best of the series, and I hope the new film captures the same magical combination of death-defying stunts, cool cars,  and lighthearted humor.
