So last night the Grammy's happened, and while there were some standout performances, it was clear that Chris Brown and Rihanna were this year's Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. Let me explain the comparison. When Kim and Kanye made it official they were a couple, the camera spent more time panning to them in the front row than focusing on the show. Same thing happened with Chris and RiRi. As for RiRi's performance, I wasn't impressed by her Lana Del Rey bored rendition of Stay, since it was similar to her SNL performance a few months ago. I did love when Bruno Mars stole the show with “Locked Out Of Heaven,” which gave way to The Police’s “Walking On The Moon,” (where Sting joined him on stage) and then Rihanna joined Ziggy and Damian Marley during a group performance of Bob Marley’s “Could You Be Loved.”
And everyone saw the shade thrown by Chris when he refused to stand after nemesis Frank Ocean won his Grammy. Speaking of Ocean, I loved that he performed Forrest Gump (which is chronicles his confession about his love for another man), but when he performed the song it sounded a mess. He was so off key he made Alicia Keys and Rihanna sound like Whitney Houston in her heyday.
Justin Timberlake channeled Robin Thicke with his performance of Suit & Tie, rising R&B star Miguel and Wiz Khalifa performing Adorn was awesome (even though the adorable Kelly Clarkson threw slight shade when she said during her acceptance speech she had no idea who he was) but too short, and Carrie Underwood had the children gagging with her fierce gown that lit up as she sang.

LL Cool J sucked as the host, I was pretty annoyed byt the camera's continuous panning to Taylor Swift singing and dancing in the audience with her paid friend, and I also heard that another bitter queen named Justin Bieber was aggressively on the web trying to draw everyone's attention to him as he livestreamed a new song and gave a Q&A shitrless. He kept having technical problems and let's just say things didn't go in his favor. Girl bye!
Overall the show was boring and lackluster, and while I love the fact that the Grammy's was all about showing that real R&B music may be on the comeback trail, the show was a reminder that we are also in serious need of some artists who can give us memorable performances and songs. All hype and no bite is not a great show make.
