Justin Timberlake has been pretty busy promoting his latest single Suit & Tie, performing it last night at the Grammy's and afterwards at the Palladium in LA (with Jay Z), and as we get closer to the March release of The 20/20 Experience, he has unleashed a brand new track called Mirrors. The song, which clocks in at eight minutes (if songs are at this length on his new album it may explain why there will only be 10 tracks) was produced by frequent collaborator Timbaland and I feel is a definite upgrade from the first single, which I happen to have a love/hate relationship with. Mirrors does remind me of the music we heard on FutureSex/LoveSounds, which started out one way but then halfway through the beat switched up (a la What Goes Around...Comes Around and LoveStoned (I Think She Knows).
I'm starting to think Justin is the best fit/muse for Timbaland since Aaliyah's untimely passing, since Timbo hasn't brought the heat in quite a long time.
Take a listen to the track below...
