Riding on the success of two reality shows (Braxton Family Values and Tamar & Vince), and a #1 single called Love And War, singer Tamar Braxton stopped by 106 & Park to premiere the video for her latest hit.
She revealed that she wanted the Beyonce-esque Hot Sugar to be the album's first single (being that it's an uptempo track), but she says she's glad she listened to her husband Vincent Herbert who opted for L&W instead: “I was so devastated and disappointed. I didn’t speak to Vince for like a whole five, six hours. That’s a lot for me,” she laughed.
And while Tamar provides vocals on the title track to Lady Gaga's only hit single from her last album Born This Way, Tamar says the pop singer will not be returning the favor on her album: “We’re two different kinds of artists and I really respect Gaga and I appreciate her, but we’re gonna keep that lane separate,” said Tamar, who is the new host of Centric’s “Culturelist.”
Speaking of albums, it was also reported last month that Tamar was planning to release her sophomore album next month, but apparently she has decided to push back the release date from February 12th to March 5th.
