P!NK BEING SUED FOR NOT PAYING PRODUCERS ROYALTIES
P!nk may be good at spilling the tea on The Truth About Love, but apparently she's not good at paying the people that helped make her a successful pop star.
A lawsuit has been filed by her ex producers, who claims the "So What" singer cheated them out of $36k in royalties.
A company called Specialists Entertainment filed papers in NYC last month, claiming that P!nk signed a deal with them, and Thunderstone Productions, to produce tracks for her 1999 debut album Can't Take Me Home.
Two songs they worked on made the album, "Can't Take Me Home" and "Hiccup" and producers' royalties were to be split 50/50.
Her debut went on to sell 5 million copies and SE claims that they helped launch P!nk's career, so they deserve some coins in the matter --- only things they still haven't seen a dime.
Now, SE wants P!nk to pay them $36,213.31, the remainder of the unpaid royalties.
P!nk's rep told TMZ rhat this isn't the singer's problem, because ... "Sony are responsible for paying the producers."
here's an interesting question no one is asking? Hasn't P!nk put out over six albums in the past 14 years of her music career? If you didn't see a dime then, they should have filed this lawsuit the minute her sophomore album Misundaztood came out instead of waiting over a decade to bitch about money.
On a lighter note, watch P!nk perform Try on Graham Norton below...
