GOLDEN GLOBE WINNERS

Last night was the Golden Globes, and while I have never been one to actually sit and watch the show (I felt like most of these awards shows it's usually all hype and no bite), I actually took the time to watch it for once and boy am I glad I did. 2012 has been a really good year for movies, and I enjoyed seeing some well-deserved faves like Ben Affleck (who was snubbed for Best Director at the Oscars, but won last night) Adele (who beat Taylor Swift in the Original Theme Song category for Skyfall), Damien Lewis (for Homeland), Claire Danes (for Homeland) Julianne Moore (as Sarah Palin in Game Change) and too many to mention win last night. While I liked Ricky Gervais' snippy jokes on behalf of his peers (A-listers seriously need to lighten up when people make jokes at them), I thought Tina Fey and Amy Poehler did a great job (loved the joke themy made towards the Country music industry's unapologetic slore Taylor Swift not to go after Michael J. Fox's son, Sam who was this year's Mr. Golden Globe.
