On the heels of rumors that producers were looking to give Britbot the boot after a lackluster performance as a judge on the second season of the U.S. X Factor, word on the street is that the pop tart has decided not to return to the struggling singing show next season.
Britney's reason for quitting this bitch is that she's working on the follow-up to Femme Fatale with a few producers, such as Hit Boy, Danja and (groan) will.i.am and she wants to go on another lip-sync for your life tour once the album is done.
"Britney loves Simon, she likes Demi Lovato but her thing is music," said one source to TMZ, who broke the story last night.
So with the constant rotation of judges, such as Nicole Scherzinger, Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid, and allegedly Demi Lovato, show creator Simon Cowell is the last judge standing. With so many of these young dime store divas out there who wouldn't have a personality even if you bought them one, who in the hell would be interesting enough to join the third season? I can't think of anyone of this generation who ould be able to say it like they mean it, so the only way to go is to add some legends to the show, like Patti LaBelle or maybe even Diddy? Now those two will definitely give you a show -- although I'm not sure Simon is ready to be upstaged by Diddy.
As for Britbot, I have said it millions of times, and I will say it again -- she was not worth the $15 million spent on her to get her on TV. The girl hasn't been present since they doped her up on drugs after her 2006 mental snapation. I'm glad she's back making music, but I wish she would stop working with will.i.am, who makes some of the worst dance music out there right now. Big Fat Bass and Scream and Shout were both hot ass messes, but I guess in her warped drugged-out mind they were huge hits. Anyways, I'm glad she's no longer part of The X Factor and now the show is back to square one looking for new butts to fill those seats.
