AND THE AWARD FOR WORST PERFORMANCE IN TELEVISION HISTORY GOES TO...
...Nicki Garbaj, who brought her Harajuku side show clown act to American Idol last night as she channeled her inner RuPaul's Drag Race contestand and lip-synched for her life in front of millions of people. When she wasn't letting the back track outshine her on stage, she did scream into the mic, doing that annoying voice she always does that she passes off as "characters." Even J Lo had to give Nicki the "bitch please" side-eye for that weak ass Japanese game show performance. Seriously when did it become okay to mime rhymes on stage and not put any effort into your stage performance? Does anyone perform anymore? Or maybe she was too busy taking notes while touring with Britbot on her Femme Fatale tour.
Maybe I'm living in an alternate universe, because for some god-forsaken reason Starships is a bonafide hit for Garbaj. Or maybe J Lo was reminding herself to pat herself on the back for not paying a lot of money for that shiteous RedOne beat to be on her upcoming album.
PITBULL TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM GLOBAL WARMING THIS SUMMER
You'd think with a recent episode of Behind The Music premiering two weeks ago on VH1 and his countless collaborations with some of music's hottest pop stars that the Cuban sensation would take some time and slow down. Not so. Mr. Worldwide has revealed that he is gearing up to release his seventh album titled Global Warming this summer. It's the follow-up to his 2011 global smash Planet Pit which gave us big hits such as Give Me Everything with Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer, Rain Over Me with Marc Anthony, and International Love featuring Chris Brown.
Pit's new album will include the Shakira-featuring lead single Get It Started, he just dropped a new single Back In Time for the Men In Black 3 soundtrack, and can also be heard re-teaming with Jennifer Lopez on her new single Dance Again which premiered today. While there's nothing wrong with keeping busy and striking while the iron is hot, you would think by the many unimaginative rhymes Armando's been dropping lately that he would take a break and get his mind right to put together some hot tracks. You can also catch Pitbull performing at KIIS FM's Wango Tango in May.
AURAL ORGASM: B. SCOTT - BODY ROCK
You may know androgynous personality B. Scott from his Youtube celebrity interviews a few years back, and his debut single Kiss Kiss heating up the gay dance club scene. Now he's unleashed a brand spankin' new single Body Rock, which was produced by Fredro (Sugababes, Wynter Gordon, Wonder Girls). With so many internet celebrities like Jeffree Starr and Chris Crocker making the transition into dance music, B. Scott (love him or hate him) is proving that while he's gone a bit "Hollywood" for my taste he's a robotic musical force to be reckoned with.
PROOF PALM SPRINGS COUPLE ARRESTED ON GAY CRUISE SHIP WERE HAVING SEX IN PUBLIC
Last week it was reported that a Palm Springs California couple were arrested aboard an Atlantis gay cruise ship in Domenica for public indecency. The couple denied they were having sex in view of other people, and went on the record to say they were humiliated by police and forced to pay a large fine.
Well a week after Dennis Jay Mayer, 53 and his younger boyfriend tried to play the gay discrimination card after police said it was because they were seen having sex in public on the balcony of their ship cabin, it looks like they've been caught in a big lie.
First they said they were on the balcony partially clothed, but then someone sent a pic of the couple to Queerty proving that they were not only fucking in view of other people, but they were both butt ass naked fucking like two tweaked out horndogs at the Black Party. Oh and if you're wondering who's zooming who, the older daddy is the top. So if either is planning on suing Atlantis, this evidence leaking out may be a bad look for their case.
MADONNA AT WAR WITH EDM PRODUCERS OVER USING ECSTACY REFERENCE FOR PUBLICITY
While the 24 hour fight between Madonna and Deadmau5 has died out, Trance DJ/producer Paul Van Dyk has now jumped on the bandwagon and taken the Queen of dance/pop to task for her "Molly" reference, calling it “the biggest mistake of her career.”
For those living under a rock, Molly is a slang term used for MDMA aka Ecstacy, which also ties into her new album MDNA.
“I don’t think she was thinking much,” van Dyk told Billboard. “The only thing she was probably thinking was, ‘I need to connect with a young crowd,’ and she made the biggest mistake of her career.”
“Madonna was so stupid to actually call out drug abuse in front of a crowd of 18-year-olds,” he continued. “This is not what our music is about. It’s really counterproductive.”
Madonna, who made a surprise appearance at the Ultra Music Festival earlier this week to promote her 12th studio album, says that her comment “Has anyone seen Molly?” was not to promote drug use, but her friend Cedric Gervais’ film and song “Have You Seen Molly?”
Madonna I love you but you're wrong on this one. First of all, Gervais' song Has Anyone Seen Molly does refer to drug use, so for you to say that you in no shape or form condone drug use (yet you condone it numerous times throughout your new album, especially on I'm Addicted where you use love as a metaphor for being addicted to drugs). I'm all for the freedom of expression, but I find it hard to see the other side of your point when outside of beinging the underground dance movement into the mainstream for the past 30 years, you also have made a career out of using different cultures (ethnic, homosexuality, and otherwise) as inspiration for your artistic creativity. But in defense of Madonna, I don't understand why she's being taken to task for talking about drugs at a EMF where nine times out of ten someone will be using ecstacy. I'll admit back when raves were popular I was using E pills.
On the flipside, I take offense at Van Dyk who said the following:
“I think we have a problem with calling it a new movement or a breakthrough in America,” he said. “We had massive festivals in the mid-’90s; I remember playing big shows, like Electric Daisy in L.A. in 2008, which drew something like 65,000 people. This was before the pop artists started to sound danceable, so in a way it’s not really something that needed a breakthrough. I think what people are referring to these days is a popped-down version of what our music actually is. I hope those pop stars all go back where they came from and do their normal pop music again.”
While he is right with the countless pop puppets who are using watered-down dance production to make millions (anything by RedOne, Dr. Luke and David Guetta), Madonna has been at the forefront of dance music for most of her career. Madonna was and always be someone who collaborates best with DJ's from Shep Pettibone to Martin Solveig she's collaborated with them all. So while I do keep hope alive that real edgy dance music will prosper and not fizzle out like some little trend, Van Dyk's bitterness towards some mainstream artists who respect the craft enough to catapult it to mainstream success is just plain tacky because I'm sure he'd be singing a different tune if Britney Spears or Katy Perry called him up to submit tracks for their next albums.
FORBES RELEASES LIST OF MOST OVEREXPOSED CELEBRITIES
As we wind down on this crazy friday where a cloud is hanging over people who are hoping they win the $640 million Mega Millions jackpot, I thought to take your mind off such things I'd being you a bit of No Shit News. Forbes has released their top 10 list of the most overexposed celebrities. While I do agree with Kim Kuntrashian being at number 1 (whe should be grateful that she's finally landed at the top of a list that showcases her true talent - for being overexposed and annoying), but outside of Lindsay Lohan and Snooki, the rest of the people on the list aren't in the spotlight as much (unless you count the beating a dead horse storyline on Jersey Shore on whether or not Snooki blew The Situation's raggedy swizzle stick). Also why is Levi Johnston on this list? The last we heard from him was when he guest-starred on My Life on the D-List and that was back in 2010. Anyways, check out the Top 10 list below...
10. Khloe Kardashian
9. Levi Johnston
8. Kourtney Kardashian
7. The Situation
6. Kate Gosselin
5. Paris Hilton
4. Nadya “Octomom” Suleman
3. Snooki
2. Lindsay Lohan
1. Kim Kardashian
USHER SET TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM LOOKING FOR MYSELF THIS SUMMER
After the success of Raymond V Raymond and the following EP Versus, Usher is ready to reclaim his title as Mr. Entertainment as the R&B singer gears up to unleash his new album, Looking For Myself, on June 12. For his seventh album, the singer enlisted producers Jim Jonsin, Rico Love and Diplo, who described lead single "Climax" as "the best record I’ve been part of." As I've stated many times over I'm not a big Usher fan (I do enjoy some of his singles), but with Climax and some of the other positive things I've been hearing about other songs on the album, I'm looking forward to hearing what Ursh comes up with next.
AURAL ORGASM: JENNIFER LOPEZ Feat. PITBULL - DANCE AGAIN
As promised, J Lo has unleashed her fuego new single Dance Again, which has her reuniting with On The Floor producer Red One and rapper Pitbull. Since OTF was the biggest and only big single off her Love? album, it was smart for the media mogul to play to her strengths as a dance floor diva. While J Lo will never get points for reinventing the musical wheel, Dance Again will most definitely get asses on the dance floor this summer. The music video premieres next week during American Idol.
Check out the lyric video below...
MADONNA'S MESSAGE TO LADY GAGA
One of the things that I'm sure you've noticed going on in the past three years is Lady Gaga's aesthetic similarities to the Queen of dance/pop, Madonna. Even Gaga's cyber bullying "Monsters" have been going head-to-head with Madonna's loyal disciples, the latter who could whoop your ass on sight, since many of Madonna's fans don't need a Twitter account to get their threats across.
After Lady Gaga's Unborn This Way record and music videos seemed to take a lot of inspiration from Madonna 20 years ago, Many of Madonna's fans (including myself) kept our fingers crossed that she would come back with an excellent new dance album that would school the new kids itching to snatch her crown how it's really done. While MDNA does have some memorable songs that will keep us on the dance floor throughout the summer and beyond, it is missing those classic pop gems and forward-thinking electronic sounds that we've come to expect from Your Madgesty.
So while many of the kids are GAGGING over her new Girl Gone Wild video, and we've finally gotten a breather from the Oprah-esque spiritual life lessons we've become accustomed to since Ray of Light, one of the shots at the end features Madonna crying liquid latex, and some genius spelled out the words "Fuck Gaga" in them. While I do miss the fun Gaga that burst on the scene with "The Fame," maybe after watching Madonna closely for the next two years (especially since MDNA is the #1 album in 40 countries, with 300,000 and 350,000 copies sold in the U.S.) will force the diva-in-training to step her game up and get her minions to be a little more creative..

AURAL ORGASM: KELIS - KIDS
A snippet of a new Kelis song called Kids, which was alleged to be on Madonna's new album (it's not)leaked a few weeks ago and got me excited to hear the rest of it. The track was left on the cutting-room floor of her excellent Flesh Tone album, and personally I wish it would have made the cut. I fucking love that album and can't wait to hear some new music from Kelis. In the meantime, check out Kids, which was produced by Boyz Noize and penned by Kelis and Jean-Baptiste, below...
CHRIS BROWN UNLEASHES HOW I FEEL MUSIC VIDEO;MRELEASING TWO SINGLES SIMULTANEOUSLY
Say what you want about Chris Brown (and believe me, I have), but one thing I will give him is that he is one of the hardest-working young pop stars working today. It also doesn't hurt that he always gives us some good music as well. I just think he's better off seen and not heard.
Anyways, to help bring a little more attention to his forthcoming album Fortune, Lil Breezy has unleashed the music video for How I Feel, as well as two new singles: R&B track Sweet Love and for his hip hop fans Til' I Die featuring Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa. Fortune will be in stores on May 8.

NEW CHRISTINA AGUILERA ALBUM ON THE WAY
She may be busy mentoring a team of potential superstars on the hit NBC series The Voice, but Xtina has also been hard at work on the follow-up to her 2010 album Bionic.
It’s coming, it’s coming, it’s coming. I’m very, very excited.
It’s quality not quantity. I don’t like to just get songs from producers. I like them to come from a personal place. It’s going to be great.
I’m very excited. It’s fun, exciting, introspective. It’s great.
I've got my fingers crossed that Miss Xtina can give us some of that same hotness she gave us back when she did the Stripped album and not a schitzophrenic mess that became Bionic.
MADONNA'S GIRL GONE WILD DEMO LEAKS ONLINE
The demo version of Girl Gone Wild featuring a voice not belonging to Madonna has leaked online, and while I'm not too cray cray about the final version (in my opinion the video saves it from being generic Euro pop trash) I always like to hear songs when they are in their early creative stages.
Here's the music video
DAWN RICHARD TALKS DIDDY, DANITY KANE AT THE BREAKFAST CLUB
While out promoting her excellent new EP Armor On (which is #1 on the iTunes R&B/Soul chart), singer Dawn Richard stopped bt Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club to talk about parting ways with Bad Boy, patching things up with her former Danity Kane bandmates, her romantic life, and, of course music.
On parting ways with Diddy: “I made sure that he respected me as an artist. He let me go and it was a good look and I respect him for that. I will always respect him for that ’cause he could have did me dirty. But instead he did the noble thing.”
During the interview Dawn also said that it will be a while before she considers a DK reunion, because she's been in two and would like to take this time to focus on her solo endeavors. Also, in case you haven't seen it check out her music video for Bombs below...
SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE STAR ALEX WONG & MALE CAST OF NEWSIES COVER NEXT MAGAZINE
Even though the Christian Bale-starring 1992 Disney film Newsies was a major flop at the box office, it's getting a new lease on life in the place where it really belongs - on Broadway. 20 ears later “Newsies The Musical” is getting the best reviews and I'm sure it will clean up this year when the Tony Awards roll around.
The Broadway version stars Jeremy Jordan (Joyful Noise), Thayne Jasperson, Ephraim Sykes, Tommy Bracco, and one of my favorite dancers, So You Think You Can Dance star Alex Wong (who most thought would win his season but a knee injury forced him to resign from the show and get emergency surgery). NYC gay rag Next Magazine has Alex on the cover and had photographer Kevin Thomas Garcia capture these Broadway up-and-comers do a pretty awesome photo spread. VIDEO: TONI BRAXTON - I HEART YOU
Just in time before the Braxton Family Values Reunion premieres tonight, eldest sister Toni Braxton has unleashed the official music video for I Heart You, the first single from her forthcoming album Gemstone. Clearly she had no budget for this video (which was directed by frequent MV collaborator Bille Woodruff), but either way it's good to see Toni giving us a little sexy and some good music.
JENNIFER LOPEZ REVEALS DANCE AGAIN SINGLE ARTWORK
Earlier this week we got a peek into J Lo's new single Dance Again, which will be the first single from her forthcoming Greatest Hits album. The single, which was produced by RedOne (who produced her huge comeback hit on The Floor) finds the Nuyorican diva reuniting with Pitbull. The full version of Dance Again will premiere tomorrow on, where else “On-Air with Ryan Seacrest.” The music video, which had everyone talking about her male stunt double who was dressed like J Lo will premiere April 5 on American Idol.

NAOMIE HARRIS TAKES US GUN TRAINING AND TALKS NEW BOND FILM SKYFALL
Actress Naomie Harris, who you may know from such films like 28 Days Later and Ninja Assassin gives fans a behind-the-scenes look into the new James Bond film Skyfall, where she plays the new Bond Girl. She also shows us a little gun training she's been doing to prepare for the role.
PATRIK IAN POLK PREMIERES THE SKINNY; RECEIVES HONOR AT OUTFEST FUSION
One of my favorite filmmakers Patrik Ian Polk, who has brought us plenty of memorable projects such as the movie Punks, and two seasons of Noah's Arc (along with the movie Noah's Arc: Jumping The Broom) premiered his latest film The Skinny this past wekend at Outfest Fusion: The Los Angeles LGBT People of Color Film Festival in Los Angeles. Before he premiered The Skinny, which is about a group of young, sexy friends who reunite in New York City a year after they graduate from Brown University he was honored by filmmaker Lee Daniels (Precious) for his contribution as a black gay male in the Hollywood film industry.
Said Daniels in presenting Polk with the award: “Being a filmmaker is hard work. Being a black filmmaker is hard, hard work. Being a gay black filmmaker is next to impossible.”
“His work is so dope,” he added.
A clearly moved Polk, who revealed that he just finished editing the film a few days before it's premiere said the following:
“I’m very appreciative to be honored in this way. It means a great deal to me.”
Just so you know how insanely difficult it is to get movies with black gay characters as the lead the same press that would go see a romantic movie starring Chaning Tatum or Ryan Gosling, Polk is distributing the movie himself, and is also renting out theaters for a week and hoping word of mouth will get people's butts in some theater seats. The first run begins on April 6 in Washington D.C.
I've been itching to see this film since I saw the trailer a few months back, and the minute The Skinny touches down in New York City you best believe I will be throwing all my support behind this film. One of the reasons why I would love to win the $500 million Mega Millions (besides to help pay off my student loans) is so I can throw my money behind films like The Skinny so that kids who don't see themselves on TV and in film can see films like this and want to get inspired. He could have easily followed someone like, say Tyler Perry and just put out some nigger nonsense, become BFF's with Oprah and become a millionaire, but there comes a time where OUR stories have to be told the right way.

AURAL ORGASM: GARBAGE - THE BATTLE IN ME
As we get closer to the new album from Garbage, the more excited I get, because it's been seven years since we've heard some new music from one of my favorite alt-rock-electronica bands. What I love about their new music is that in a world saturated with happy, pitch-perfect dance/pop, Shirley Manson and the gang aren't afraid to take us back to a time when music was messy, and you would confess about your life being a bit ugly at times. I liked first single Blood For Poppies, but The Battle In Me is the Garbage that I love.
Not Your Kind of People, the new album from Garbage will be in stores on May 15.

RIHANNA RUMORED TO BE IN TALKS TO JOIN THE X FACTOR
After firing three people off of of The X Factor US, it seems that Simon Cowell is having a much harder time filling those vacated seats than he realizes.
After giving judges Nicole Scherzinger, Paula Abdul and host Steve Jones their walking papers, a laundry list of some of the biggest pop stars in the world were rumored to be attached, such as Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Fergie, and Katy Perry. The one celebrity that seemed to be the closest to signing on the dotted line was Britney Spears, but now HollywoodLife.com is reporting that that deal has officially fallen through indefinitely after producers wanted a two-year committment from the pop tart.
Now comes word that Cowell is looking to Rihanna as a possible new judge on the struggling singing competition. If you remember, RiRi did appear on the show last season as a mentor for the singers on L.A. Reid's team.
I personally think Simon has got it all wrong. He's been focusing too much on getting a big name on the show for those big ratings, that he's forgotten what draws people into a show. one word: Chemistry! When he was on American Idol, no one knew who the hell he was or Randy Jackson for that matter. And Paula Abdul was a washed-up pop star. Just because you attach a big name to a big project doesn't mean you will attract big ratings. Rihanna is busy with her music career and being a puppet for her label, and with the singer releasing a new album every six weeks, who has time to devote a few months to sitting on a panel judging wannabe superstars? I've said it many times over. Simon needs to look to some singers who will say it like they mean it (like P!nk) or a veteran (someone like Chaka Khan or Patti LaBelle) and stop looking to current big names who give us lazy live performances and mediocre singing (like Rihanna and Britney Spears).
AURAL ORGASM: MARTIN SOLVEIG - THE NIGHT OUT (Madeon Remix)
While Martin Solveig is currently enjoying worldwide success after producing a few tracks on Madonna's new album (which is #1 in 40 countries, BTW), the producer/DJ found time to put out some new music of his own.
Up-and-coming French producer Madeon (who in my opinion Madonna should have worked with on MDNA), who performed a hot set at the Ultra Music Festival's emerging artist stage, has unleashed a remix of Solveig's track titled The Night Out, and of course it wipes the floor with any current chart-topping dance track playing in the clubs right now.
The Night Out will actually be the third single taken from Solveig's new LP, entitled "Smash."
Madeon's performance at the UMF was his first show ever in the States, and after wowing the dance crowd this teenage prodigy will have a long career in the music industry.

AUBREY O' DAY WOULD LIKE FOR DANITY KANE TO REUNITE
We all got to know singer and reality star Aubrey O' Day during her stint on MTV's Making The Band, the show where she was notoriously fired by her boss Sean "Diddy" Combs. Since then she has been spratically been keeping herself busy, starring in her own Oxygen reality series All About Aubrey (where she was trying to make a solo comeback in the music industry). Recently Aubrey, who can curently be seen being a conniving bitch on the new season of The Celebrity Apprentice and on next week's episode of the VH1 reality series Styled By June called into The Big J Show to talk about what's going on in her career, burying the hatchet with former DK member Dawn Richard, and that she would like a Danity Kane reunion.
I'm glad that one of the DK members Dawn is pushing forth with her career, most recently releasing her excellent EP Armor On, and I would entertain a DK reunion, but anyone who signs with Bad Boy I start to worry because that soul-sucking vampire Diddy is never about anyone's career but his own. Speaking of Diddy, I'm sure he owns the rights to the group, so if they decide to reunite any money they make would most likely go in his pocket. When you are young you never appreciate the opportunities that you are given, and I think Aubrey realizes that now that she's struggling for that second chance in the music business. I know after four years of being broken up that the fans want a reunion, but instead I say Aubrey work on some hot dance/pop music and do a joint tour with Dawn instead of a DK reunion.
