TRAILER TRASH: JOHNNY DEPP & ARMIE HAMMER IN LONE RANGER

After rumors of reshoots and an overbudget filming schedule, we finally have a first look at the new Lone Ranger film, starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer.

In the new film, which is based on the popular TV series, Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.

For some reason the opening of the trailer reminded me of Cowboys and Aliens, which in my opinion was not a good movie. I've got my fingers crossed that The Lone Ranger will not be the John Carter of 2013.
The movie, which is directed by Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean) comes out in July.
