Being that The Real Housewives of Atlanta has successfully created the springboard for all the copycats that have later followed in it's shadow (like Basketball Wives, Mob Wives, Hollywood Exes, etc.), it shouldn't come as a shocker to see that the ladies who support their men behind the pulpit would get their moment to act a fool on national TV as well.
TLC is the latest network to jump on the "Housewives" bandwagon with their new realtiy series called "The Sisterhood" - a new "docu-series" (oh is that what they're calling it since we know the first ladies of the church try to act like they're above all the drama) that will give viewers insight into into some of Atlanta's "first ladies" as they support their husbands and live the fabulous life off the dime of the poor folks who worship at their church every week.
Yes as you can read I do have my issues with the institution of organized religion and the bullshit that goes on behind closed doors. I'm assuming we don't have any Bishop Eddie Long's trying out for this show because lord knows some of these pastors don't want any of their male boos putting their nusiness on blast.
All these different types of folks getting their own reality shows and the gays are still sitting on the sidelines playing buffer for the insecure straight women.The bafoonery of The A-List: New York and Dallas should not be what defines the gay community in reality TV form.
The Sisterhood premieres on January 1, 2013 at 9 PM.
