Remember that horrible ass fashion competition show from Rihanna called Styled To Rock that was a flop overseas? Well months after it barely made a dent in the ratings across the pond, the series is scheduled to make it's American TV debut on the Style Network.
Just like the UK version, Rihanna (who also executive produces the show) will star in the American version with ten episodes set to air some time next year. The pop singer will choose the 12 designers who make the initial cut, and being that she has an army of stylists to put her together everytime she walks out her door, she’ll also hand pick the mentors to guide the contestants for each episode.
“Fashion has always played an integral part in my life and career,” she said in a statement. “I am so excited to partner with Style Network and share my creative insight with these 12 designers and give them this opportunity to showcase their work.” Being that Rihanna does have a huge fan base in the U.S., it will be interesting if the show does better here than in the U.K. If it does suck, at least I'll have the new fashion show with Naomi Campbell to look forward to.
