Tonight is the night that Jersey Shore officially comes to an end, but don't expect that to also be the end of seeing the cast on the small screen. With Snooki & JWOWW's spinoff show returning for a second season next month on MTV, and Vinny Guadagnino getting his own talk show sometime in 2013, Pauly D. has found a way to extend his 15 minutes as well.
Since his own reality show The Pauly D Project was damn near unwatchable, word on the street is that while MTV would like for Pauly to sign on to film a second season, the DJ is looking to take his skills over to E! if they're willing to pay him more money.
According to sources, he's looking to not only get paid more dough, but he also wants show more of his personal life beyond his hard-partying ways, and hooking up with random girls, a theme MTV has been milking since Jersey Shore became their big ratings hit.
TMZ is reporting that “Pauly’s close to inking a new deal … he’s already had 3 meetings about the project … and E! is EXTREMELY interested in making it happen.”
Pauly D’s rep has not commented on this story, and I say if E! is willing to give Pauly a bigger platform to stand on where he can be in more control of his image, then I say why not? I'm sure E! is growing tired of being looked at as the Kuntrashian network, so the more interesting personalities they can get on the network, the better it will be for their ratings.
