We already know that February is about to be a busy month for Beyonce, with the debut of her HBO documentary and her first live performance since giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy during the Super Bowl half time show.
Now comes word that Beyonce plans to release new music before her Super Bowl XLVII performance, which means we'll be hearing her signature screech in a matter of weeks.
During an interview with Billboard, producer/songwriter and frequent Beyonce collaborator The-Dream, spilled the tea on new Bey music:
"Definitely," said The-Dream when asked if Beyonce would release a new song before the Super Bowl. "She's got her stuff going. She took the summer to start recording, and now she's in a place where she's ready to start gearing up to reveal her plan."
"She's already gearing up to get ready to put stuff out," The-Dream continued. "I'm sure there will probably be a couple records you hear before the Super Bowl gets here."
I mean this isn't really news, since Beyonce hasn't put out new music in almost two years. It would make logical sense for her to put out new music before her SB performance, just to get fans excited for a new album (which will most likely be out in the Spring or Summer). Some of you may have been surprised by this news, but as someone who understands how the musical machine works I'm not surprised by this music news at all.
The documentary will air Feb. 16, 2013, less than two weeks after Beyonce's Feb. 3 Super Bowl performance.
