Gays having sex on daytime TV? You know what that means? It means it must be November sweeps. While the last four soaps standing are doing whatever they can to stay out of the daytime TV graveyard, Days of our Lives has been slowly and delicately pushing the envelope in regards to their gay storyline with Will (Chandler Massey) and Sonny (Freddie Smith). Unfortunately, the big sex moment between the couple was preempted by President Obama's speech/Q&A earlier this week. My only bitch is that people are talking about boycotting the show due to DOOL's gay sex scene.
So you can do their hair and give straight women validation, but god forbid you show love and affection to someone of the same sex. It also bothers me that the few soap watchers left can turn a blind eye to a man sleeping with his first cousin's wife who's twin mysteriously comes back from the dead and get pregnant by his teenaged son, but two men getting together they can't deal with.
What makes it worse is that the writers felt they needed a way to keep Sonny and Will from becoming what Kish were on One Life To Live by having Will get his mother Sammi's ex-husband’s sister pregnant. Really???
Stupid storylines like this is the reason why people have abandoned soap watching altogether and have turned to far more interesting soaps like The Real Housewives franchise and Jersey Shore.
