MASHONDA CALLS ALICIA KEYS OUT ON HER HOMEWRECKING WAYS
Ever since folks who were and were not her fans took singer Alicia Keys to task for wrecking shop and hooking up with a man who had not yet divorced his now ex-wife Mashonda, Alicia has kept a low profile while working on some new music. Now that she has a new album coming out in a few short weeks, she's finally addressing the elephant in the room.
In a recent interview with Jet Magazine, Alicia claims that Swizzy was legally separated from Mashonda when they started seeing each other. Didn't Fantasia make the same claim when she hooked up with Antwaun before getting pregnant by him?
Anyways, now Mashonda has come back with some fighting words via Twitter, claiming otherwise:
My theory on this is maybe Swizz told Alicia that he was separated from his wife and in her mind it was okay for them to make a relationship out of whatever was developing at the time. But still unless I see the official receipt for the divorce papers, we're not hooking up. Point. Blank. And the period. At this point I'm sick of these self-righteous singers like Lauryn Hill and Alicia Keys always telling women how to empower themselves and do right by their man when they can't even get their relationship drama in order. The only reason I feel she's trying to justify her actions in this sloppy mess is because as I said before she has a new album coming out and she has lost some fans because of her role as the "other woman." Sorry Alicia, but you still look like a homewrecker no matter how you try to dress it up and call it something different.
to add insult to injury, check out her Nightline interview where she not only talks about her upcoming album, Girl On Fire, but her first impression of her now-husband Swizz Beatz below...
