Back in 2010 I was obsessed with an upcoming quirky electro/pop singer from England named Lolene, who had released a few hot singles such as Rich (Fake It Till You Make It), Sexy People and Lion Heart. Then weeks before her debut album The Electrik Hotel was supposed to drop, the album leaked online and she went back in the lab to record new tracks. But when singles off her debut failed to chart (she also came out around the time when Lady Gaga's style of electro pop was first hitting big, and too many girls with similar sounds got lost in the shuffle), her album was shelved and soon after Lolene was all but forgotten...until now!
Instead of packing her bags and going home with her tail between her legs, Lolene took her downtime to reinvent her image and sound and took her shelved Capitol/EMI debut and finally released it online. She's also releasing a new EP called She's Got A Pulse next month which I'm definitely looking forward to hearing.
