Since Lady Gaga hasn't had any kind of progressive struggle happen to her that she can relate to (you know, like pretentiously jumping on the gay and outcast bandwagon just so she can have loyal fans who will always buy her music and memorabilia), she has decided to whine about people criticizing her for gaining weight.
A few weeks ago some pictures of Lady Gaga with some extra weight on her bones hit the web and she was criticized for it. Now the singer, who has launched her Body Revolution campaign on her Little Monsters social networking site titled 'Body Revolution 2013', is wondering why people are picking on her and not someone like Adele, who is a successful singer who doesn't fit the perfect body mode. There's even been reports that her record label has suggested she go on a diet.
Here is what she said to Stylist Magazine:
"I was acutely aware of some photos on the internet – my mom called me and was like, 'Did you gain weight'? – everybody was telling me about it, and I didn't really care. But when I heard it was on the news, where they talk about wars, the economy crashing and the election – I just thought, 'This is fucking ridiculous.'"
"I mean, what kind of example is that to a young girl sitting at home? I thought, well, I don't really care if they think I'm fat, because, quite honestly, I did gain about 30 pounds," she added, before saying:
Adele is bigger than me, how come nobody says anything about it? She's so wonderful and I think her confidence is something I have to match. She has the set the bar very high for a lot of women. I need to be a confident woman and just say politically active things when I can that are helpful to young people.
Since the bitch is slow and lives in a bubble separated from reality, let me tell you why people criticize you and not Adele. Adele uses her God-given talent to sell records. She has never pretended to be other than what you get on stage. All she has to do is stand at the microphone and open her mouth and she has the audience clutching their pearls. When you use gimmicks, sex, and your body to sell records, your body is your money maker so unfortunately you can't gain weight. When you come out with a great body and gain weight, you can't be surprised that people are going to make negative comments. Besides, I don't think Lady Porker would look good with 30 extra pounds in her meat dress.
As long as pop singers have been around that has been the rule. Britney (back in her cray cray days) and Xtina (today) were criticized for their weight gain. Britney has since got her body back, and people love her again. The only time Madonna ever gained weight was when she got pregnant with Rocco and Lourdes. At this point I just feel she is just grasping at straws because her name is not in the press.
