INTERNATIONAL TRAILER TRASH: MANIAC

While there has been one too many bad horror remakes coming out as of late, there often comes a time when an actual good one falls through the cracks. Ever since I have been keeping tabs on Maniac, I've been hearing nothing but good things about this film. The remake stars Elijah Wood (Lord of The Rings trilogy, Wilfred) as Frank, a man - haunted by seedy memories of his promiscuous mother - who works in a mannequin shop by day and stalks 'n kills women by night. Things take a turn in his life when he meets a beautiful photographer (Nora Arnezeder). The remake will be out in December internationally, but distributed by IFC in the States in 2013, and is directed by Franck Khalfoun and produced by Alexandre Aja (High Tension, The Hills Have Eyes, Piranha). Check out the official trailer below and even though I love the original film, trust me you'll most certainly want to check out in theaters.
