FIRST LOOK: BRAD PITT IN WORLD WAR Z

With the success of The Walking Dead (which in my opinion is the best written and acted show on television), there seems to be a big trend of zombies going around right now. I have been a bit worried about the World War Z movie (I loved the book, by the way) since I heard earlier this year it was experiencing some financial troubles.

Well ET (does anyone still watch that show?) has given fans a sneak peek at the highly-anticipated film, which stars Brad Pitt as a man racing to stop a zombie pandemic that’s destroying the world.

The action thriller stars Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos, Daniella Kertesz, James Badge Dale, Matthew Fox and David Morse and will be in theaters on June 21, 2013.

Below is a synposis of the film:

Based on Max Brooks' best-selling novel "World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War," the story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself. Enos plays Gerry's wife Karen Lane; Kertesz is his comrade in arms, Segen.
The full trailer is scheduled to air later this week, but you can check out some footage on the set below...
