I look at him sometimes and I’m like, ‘You are so white.’ Seriously! Yes, I gotta be real like that. I’m the first black girl he’s ever been with, so we are learning. Trust me, he’s been through ‘Weave 101.’ I’ve been out on a date but not like this, not like my dude. I had to tell my mom and my step-dad who still thinks he follows Farrakhan. It’s crazy. We learn a lot about each other but people came at me like, ‘I can’t believe you’re dating a white dude and you don’t like black dudes no more.’ I’m like, ‘I love black men, it just so happens that my heart went this way right now.’ Who knows? I say in this day and age people really need to get over their ignorance about people dating outside of their race. If you only want to stick with your own kind, then that's fine. But don't come all up in people's space tellign them what they should do with their lives and who they should be fucking. If people worried more about what was going on in their own house they wouldn't need to feel like they have to come over and fix other people's homes. Ain't nothing wrong with dating someone outside of your race or even having kids with someone who isn't your race or color. I am an interracial child and I say we have the best of both worlds. While it is difficult for some of us to migrate through the world based on people trying to figure out who you are (race wise), we have a better understanding of being outsiders looking in and seeing things from a different perspective than people who aren't interracial.
