AISHA TYLER TO PLAY JAKE'S MOTHER ON GLEE

Personally speaking I gave up on watching Glee after they jumped about five sharks during season two, but out of curiousity I did check out two episodes this season and with all the annoying auto-tuned covers and preachy, contrived storylines I had to bail once again.

There have been lots of changes made to the show, like graduating some of your faves and shipping a few of them off to New York. The writers of the show even broke up all the couples to stir things up. Puck's (Mark Salling) bad boy half-brother Jake (Jacob Artist) has been getting a lot of screen time this season, and the writers have cast a daytime talk show host and actress to play his mother (Puck and Jake have different mothers but share the same father). According to TV Line Jake's mother will be played by Aisha Tyler.

Aisha is a busy bee, since she's a co-host on The Talk, plays ISIS agent Lana Kane on FX’s Archer, and also plays a CIA agent on the REELZ original series XIII. I love Aisha Tyler but she's not enough for me to invest in watching Glee again. I rather listen to the original songs on Nashville than listen to these kids massacre another one of my favorite songs (or sit through another Britney/Gaga homage episode).
