UK X FACTOR HAS THEIR VERY OWN ADAM LAMBERT
Adam Lambert may be the biggest flame to burn bright on an American Idol stage, but we may have some friendly competition across the pond. While UK X-Factor contestant Rylan Clark may have the attitude and the visuals to be the next gay big thing, one thing I will say is that vocally Adam has the stronger pipes. Listening to judge Gary Barlow's spot-on critiques of his live singing shows that with better singers getting booted off the show, it looks like you guys have your very own Sanjaya. He lasted way too long on American Idol because of his cutesy personality and wild hairstyles, but vocally it was apparent that he wasn't the greatest.
What Rylan does very well is bring a sense of fun, controversy and good showmanship, and with the right producers, wild outfits and proper songs, he could definitely make it as a dance/pop star who will need a loud backing track to support him on stage, like, say Cheryl Cole or the two divas he just covered.
If Rylan was on a show like American Idol, I could totally see the wardrobe department getting a few notes from producers telling them to make sure he tones it down for the middle-American audicnce, who so-called liberal Hollywood seems to think they are the only voice that matters and votes. The Brits are a little less uptight when it comes to how people look onstage and are far open minded when it comes to showing their support for gay artists. Oh, and P.S. when did Nicole Scherzinger get enough money to buy herself a personality?
Watch as Rylan sings J Lo's On The Floor and Rihanna's Don't Stop The Music below...
