RUPAULS DRAG RACE ALL STARS SEASON 1 EPISODE 1: SYNERGY
Monday was the biggest night Logo has had since the finale of RuPaul's Drag Race season 4, because it was the heavily hyped series premiere of the channels's only hit franchise RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. After the episode aired along with Untucked! it gave me my life and so much more, because not only was it beyond hilarious with some fierce one-liners (I'm Jujubee. I like long walks on the beach, big dicks, and fried chicken), but I learned two new words that I have officially stolen for my own gay library: Rutarded and Responsitrannity.
Anyways in the new season (which is only six episodes), Ru revealed the ultimate twist this season. Not only will the winner win $100,000 but the queens will be competing in teams of two. So that means, if you wind up lip-synching for your life and Ru asks you to sashay away, it won't be one queen leaving the building. Both will be eliminated.
While some of the ladies pretty much got along with their partners, Pandora Boxx seemed the most upset because she wound up with Mimi Imfurst, who you all may remember from her season as the queen everyone hated (and for picking up another queen when she had to lip-sync for her life).
I love Nina Flowers on the show, but I have to say I do feel bad that she has Tammie Brown as a partner. Tammie comes across as someone who is out there where the busses don't run, and her cray cray antics on the show is going to overshadow what Nina has to do to be taken seriously in this competition. I won't reveal who was sent home in case you missed it, but I will say the team I'm rooting for to win the Queen of All Queens title is Raven & Jujubee (Rujubee)
Check out the entire episode as well as the new and improved Untucked, where some of the girls come for Mimi Imfurst who we learn has a beef with Alexis Mateo off the show.
