Project Runway alum and hottie Jack Mackenroth, who you all may remember voluntarily left the show in the middle of his season after developing a potentially dangerous staph infection has launched a new dating site for HIV-positive men called Volttage, where poz guys can date or hook up without fear of judgement or ridicule.
Mackenroth explains why his site is different from other gay dating sites:
"It’s different from all of the other sites because we are specifically targeting HIV-positive men who have sex with men. However, we are unique because we don’t ask members to check a box declaring their HIV status. Our belief is that you should always assume that your partner is HIV-positive and proceed accordingly—this applies to life in general."
I think since we have trans porn star Buck Angel launched his dating site last month for the trans community and the folks who love them called Buck Angel Dating, and now Jack providing a safe place for HIV+ men to hook up, this idea couldn't have come at a better time. So now people who go on sites like Manhunt or Adam4Adam no longer have to lie about their status. Now my question is since Buck's site also includes people who are atracted to either a trans male or female, is there a place for people who might be interested in dating someone who is HIV+?
