Less than 72 hours after Nicki Garbaj and Mariah Carey threatened to snatch each other's wigs on the North Carolina set of American Idol auditions, Mimi's hubby and America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon stopped by Access Hollywood and gave his thoughts between the pop veteran and hip pop diva-in-training.
“My wife is the strongest and classiest woman that I’ve ever met, if you watch the video, she just maintains her composure,” he said. “I don’t think she’s moved by the theatrics and pageantry of it all. She signed up to do a job to help young people…this is like a sidebar. I hope that’s not what this show becomes, about the catfights.”
Well too late Nick. While in the beginning the producers were trying to cover up the behind-the-scenes antics, I'm thinking they may try to use the shade between the divas as a ploy to gain ratings. I've said it millions of times that Nicki shouldn't even be part of the show, based on her lack of experience as a seasoned singer. Rappers who sing their hooks with the help of auto tune should not be judging a show where people are required to sing. At the end of the day I mostly feel bad for the kids who will make it on the show and the person who wins because AI is no longer about the singers.
