NATINA REED OF THE R&B GROUP BLAQUE KILLED BY HIT & RUN DRIVER

Some sad news today. Natina Reed who was part of the R&B trio Blaque has passed away at 32 years old. According to reports, she was struck by a car in Atlanta while crossing the street and the assailant took off without stopping or calling for help. What's worse is that her birthday is tomorrow and she is survived by her 10-year-old son, Tren Brown, with rapper Kurupt.

The group was discovered in the late 90's by late TLC rapper Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and the trio went on to have a hit single 808 among others. She as well as the other two members were also in the hit 2000 movie Bring It On.

Here's what Blaque member Brandi Williams had to say in a heartfelt message: "Last night the world was changed forever, life will never be the same....she was my sister."

"Man. in eerie Left Eye fashion....rip to Blaque's Natina Reed," the Roots' ?uestlove tweeted, along with the video for Blaque's "808."

"Bring It On" co-star Grabielle Union kept it simple, writing, "#RIP #Sad #BringItOn." Others, like producer Isaac Hayes III, shared his grief through photos, posting a picture of the star on Instagram with a caption that read: "R.I.P. Natina Reed of the Group Blaque. Killed by a Hit & Run last night. So sad."

Rumors were also circulating that the ladies were back in the studio working on a new Blaque album. R.I.P. Natina and may your killer be brought to justice where he/she belongs.
