It looks like Michael Lohan's audition tape pitch to get his daughter on the new season of Celebrity Rehab has fallen by the wayside, because TMZ is reporting that when Michael Lohan and all of the people Lindsay employs tried to give her an intervention to go to rehab on Friday, her alleged new boyfriend Josh Chunn, 25, (check out a pic of him below) a former cheerleader said "oh hell to the naw!" and slammed the door in their faces. When Michael refused to leave, Lindsay called the cops on his opportunistic ass. Instead of the police doing us all a favor and ignoring her call (I'm sure the cops in both LA and New York are tired of visiting these people by now), the popo showed up and shooed Michael off her property.
Here's what Michael told Radar:
"Lindsay needs help. She's around all the wrong people. I'm not going to stand for this anymore. She has to get better. I'm not going to watch my daughter die. A lot of people tried to stage the intervention with me. She is dating a guy named Josh Chunn and he told me, 'I feel the same way you do. I can't take it. They're destroying her life. Lindsay called the cops for trespassing but they opened the gates for us to come up… When we were leaving she threw Josh out and we picked him up in the car and he spilled the beans about everything she is doing. Her whole team has had it with her. All of them want to her to get treatment. I will keep putting pressure on her like I did before until she gets help. She is not going to get better without help and she needs treatment and help now."
Michael also says that since his plan to stage an intervention for his daughter didn't work, his plan B is to channel his inner Jamie Spears and head to court to get a conservatorship over his daughter. So that means that he will be able to do legally what Dina has been trying to do for years - having full control over Lindsay's career and finances.
While I would love to see Lindsay get help, the last person I think anyone would want having financial control over Lindsay would be her father, because he and his coked-out ex-wife seem to be the catalyst in why Lindsay is so fucked up in the first place. If you are willing to save your daughter like you claim, then why do you continue to feel you need to hold press conferences, or call TMZ and Radar to sell them your stories about your daughter. TMZ, Radaronline or any other tabliod is not interested in helping your daughter. They're only interested in getting the scoop and getting millions of hits on their blog.
I know a lot of people say that Lindsay is grown and she needs to take responsibility for her actions, but how can you do that surrounded by enablers and are constantly let off the hook everytime you get in trouble.
At this point I'm done giving a fuck about this girl, and I'm looking forward to her interview with Barbara Walters who I am sure will ask her about all the allegations including the following story. P.S. Is Lindsay too old to emancipate herself from her parents?
