Earlier this week Dawn Richard announced that she had just signed a deal with Altavoz Distribution to release her independent solo debut Goldenheart in stores worldwide. The deal also meant that she would have to push her album back to another date, since it was supposed to drop yesterday (October 16). Now the singer has revealed that Goldenheart now come out on January 15, 2013.
“It’s a movement, we are starting here,” said the 29-year-old singer. “After all our hard work, we finally are expanding our art into stores. We wanted to make GoldenHeart available to all [Hearts], not just digitally. The project is too amazing to be limited to one portal of access. It’s time to get excited. This is a big deal for us!”
Dawn is also planning to launch her first mobile app available on iOS and Android compatible devices. The app will allow fans to stay on top of the latest news, videos, and make direct purchases.
This could also mean that since we have to wait almost three months for the album, she will have plenty of time to release new singles and videos off the album to keep her name out there.
