Bow Wow may be celebrating his new gig as the new co-host on 106 & Park, but his personal life seems to have hit a bit of a snag. According to reports, the rapper/actor was taken to court by his beard/babymama Joie Chavis and the child support judge after he fell a little short on his child support payments for his 1-year-old daughter Shai.
According to TMZ, Bow Wow owes $11,500 in back child support and only makes $4,000 a month as an employee at Cash Money Records He also revealed that he only has $1,500 in his bank account. While his babymama is accusing the rapper of not spending alot of time with his daughter, he did volunteer to give her $3000 a month for child support. The former couple will be heading back to court in December.
What I don't get is that what happened to all that money he was making from his music and movies? You have been in the game since you were a toddler, and now that you are in your mid-twenties, you can't possibly be that stupid to have burned through all your earnings with only a grand to show for it. I'm sure with rent, food, gas and other necessities, it costs a lot of money to keep up with his lavish lifestyle. But since no one cares about his music career he must be glad he got a steady job on a show no one watches. Unless that episode of MTV Cribs was all rented stuff to give off the illusion that he was living the fabulous life, he better get to selling those many cars he showed off in the show or do more runway re-enactments of Paris Is Burning like he allegedly was doing at the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards.
