Continuing to milk the Housewives franchise for all it's worth, last night Andy Cohen aired another episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, which featured lots of footage left on the cutting-room floor. Among the must-see scenes was of reunion and Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen asking Teresa Giudice's cheating, gross ass husband Joe who has come under fire for not only impersonating his brother to get a driver's license and allegations of infidelity, but also for his homophobic comments on the show.
I have always felt Andy has never fully chastized Joe for his bad gay jokes, and Teresa always annoys me with her excuses for her husband's behavior as "oh, that's just Joe being Joe." His comments as to why he uses the word is basically what every hot headed hetero says about saying homo or faggot. They always respond by saying we always use that work growing up and don't see it as a big deal. it also annoyed me when he thought his use of homophobic slurs was justified because he said he was just on a boat with a gay guy. That's no different than a bigoted white guy saying "some of my best friends are black." What may be funny to you is not always funny to the person you're making fun of and alot of times when I look at Joe he comes off as very immature and childish. I've seen drunken frat boys with more sense.
What people who have become famous off a reality show need to learn is that once you are on a TV show watched by millions, all the things you say in the privacy of your own home no longer applies, especially when everyone with a Facebook and Twitter accound has a goddamn opinion. The Giudices hate being confronted by the things that they say about people on TV, from Melissa being a stripper to Joe using homophobic insults against people like Joe Gorga and Albie and Chris Manzo's roommate Greg. If you don't want to be held accountable for the shit you say on national TV, then maybe you and your dumb ass wife need to get their greasy asses off TV.
