Last night Usher sat down with Oprah at his home in Atlanta to talk for the first time about his ugly divorce from the mother of his two children Tameka Foster, and might I say I really took myself to school (backpack and all) as I studied his body language extensively. While he may have good songs and is considered one of the biggest international superstars to carry the torch left by Michael Jackson, his personality has always rubbed me the wrong way. I've always found something sneaky and shady about him, and it was interesting to see him open up about a part of his life that was very personal.
Lady O did not hold back as she grilled the singer about his alleged infidelity during the marriage, the nasty courtroom drama that plagued their child-custody trial, the death of Tameka's oldest son and how Tameka tried to come for Usher during her eldest son's death, the alleged cheating with her bridesmaid, the alleged verbal abuse, neglecting his two sons, removing his mother as his longtime manager during the time that his mom had a strong dislike for his wife, getting booed overseas while on tour after doing one song and then leaving the stage, and if he makes love to his own music.
There were parts of the interview that I gave a hard side-eye, such as when Oprah asked him about his alleged infidelities and the perception that Usher fired his mother as his manager because she and Usher were butting heads in regards to his decisions whenever it came to his wife.
