RIHANNA REVEALS CONTROVERSIAL DIAMONDS SINGLE SLEEVE

With her seventh album right around the corner, Rihanna is getting ready to release her new album's first single Diamonds this coming Wednesday. The singer, who has clearly run out of Talk That Talk singles to push is ready to make diamonds her best friend by releasing the single's controversial sleeve. The photo features Rihanna about to roll up some diamonds in some blunt paper.

Here's what Rihanna told New York's Z100 radio jock Elvis Duran about the song, which was written and produced by Stargate, Benny Blanco, and Sia while at the iHeartradio Music Festival:

“You’re not sad or dancing. You’re happy and hippie. It’s laid-back, but it’s hopeful. It gives me such a great feeling when I listen to it. The lyrics are very hopeful and positive, but it’s about love and the gears are a little different from what people would expect. I’m excited to surprise them sonically.”

Say what you want about Ms. RiRi, but I have to give it up to her for being one of the hardest-working chicks in the music game right now. She also needs to give her PR team a huge raise, because the girl clearly knows how to make controversy work in her favor. There have been many of the new generation who have tried and failed to be the heir to Madonna's throne, but if there's anyone who is up to the task (in regards to always evolving through their music and never being afraid of taking musical and fashin risks), it's Rihanna.
