Just when you thought that his recent stint on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta would tarnish his legacy as a top producer and songwriter for some of the biggest names in the 90's, it looks like Stevie J aka "Steebie" aka Master Shredder is about to see a boost in his once-sagging career.
After coming across as one of the most hated men in reality TV, "Steebie" is looking to use his infamy on the show to get some work with some big name stars, and it seems to have worked. Joceline and Mimi's pimp is set to work with Mariah Carey on her new album and also plans to put in some studio time with Kanye. Steebie and Mimi (not one of his babymama's) worked together on her Butterfly album and also produced the Grammy-winning track Honey.
"I'm working on music for Mariah, for Kanye, and for a host of other artists. I'm just gon' keep producing and get back on my music game, now that television [is] over. You gotta' stay tuned."
I hate to say it, but we are in a new era now where nonsense and bafoonery are rewarded faster than people who come up the old fashioned way and work their butts off to get the recognition and success. if acting like a fool on TV is going to get Steebie some studio time and make some dollars to pay his child support, then who are we to judge?
