IS CHRISTINA AGUILERA LEAVING THE VOICE?

The new season of The Voice kicked off this past Monday, but a recent story on Billboard (that was quickly taken down) has many wondering when the third season wraps will it also be Xtina's last?

Here's what Xtina reportedly said in the September 11th article:

"[The Voice] kept me away from my heart, which is creating my own music … It’s been a joy to be a part of other people’s journey [sic], to be able to inspire and be a part of new singers coming up in this business. But I was starting to get really worried and concerned that I wouldn’t have the time to go and be an artist again.”

I often wonder when you commit yourself to the grueling schedule of a TV show, how does that interfere with you promoting your own music? You have to commit two years of your life to promoting your latest album with music videos, TV appearances and performances around the world as well as a world tour. And now that The Voice has opted to do two seasons a year instead of one, how does all of this fit into their crazy schedules? I remember reading thato ne of the producers said that they may look at alternating with celebrity fill-ins whenever their main judges have to go on their contractual obligations, that has yet to be seen.

In other Xtina news, the singer revealed the title of her fifth album to a fan on Twitter during a live chat when she was asked what's the latest on the record:

@TheRealXtina What can you tell us about your new album? #YourBody

.@aleronihead Album title: Lotus. Representing an unbreakable flower that survives under the hardest conditions and still thrives. #YourBody

No word on when Lotus will be released (most likely by Christmas), but I do know that Xtina will unleash the official version of her already leaked demo Your Body tomorrow and she will give fans a sneak peek of the video on next Moday's episode of The Voice.
