If you watch the hit TV One series R&B Divas, then you know that after the death of her friend Whitney Houston, singer Faith Evans came up with the concept to have her R&B singing friends KeKe Wyatt, Syleena Johnson, Monifah and Nicci Gilbert (formerly of Brownstone) join her on the concept album to benefit Whitney's Academy of Creative & Performing Arts foundation. In addition to the reality shows cast mates on the album, other musical contributions are featured by Kelly Price and Fantasia
“I’m extremely excited about executive producing this Faith Evans R&B Divas album and working beside some of the premiere female R&B vocalists of our generation,” said Faith. “I’m also proud to honor my dear friend and music icon, Ms. Whitney Houston, and give back to the community in doing my part to help save performing arts in schools. I actually like the show (it's a breath of fresh air from all the reality shows featuring grown women fighting and bickering all the time) and hope TV One picks it up for a second season. R&B Divas will be out on October 2.
