We are just two months away from the second season of one of my favorite new shows American Horror Story, and FX has unleashed a teaser trailer for the spooky sophomore season. All you get to see is a nun carrying two buckets and something that looks like a person's hand falls out. The teaser doesn't give away much, but I am excited for the new season coming because along with The Walking Dead season 3, October is about to be by far the best month of the year.
As for what the new season will be about (since it will have an entire new setting and premise), Season 2 will be set in 1964, and returning cast member, the legendary Jessica Lange, will play a nun who runs an insane asylum in the East Coast that used to be a tuberculosis ward. Other cast members returning for a second season in different roles are Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, and Lily Rabe. New additions to the cast include James Cromwell, Joseph Fiennes, Adam Levine, Mark Consuelos and Chloe Sevigny. Show runner Ryan Murphy (Glee) has said that the new season's theme will be about sanity and tackling real life horrors. Which basically means the crackpots in films like One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Girl Interrupted and A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors ain't got shit on these loonies.
