Earlier this year at Paris Fashion Week, I thought Diddy and Shyne kissed and made up. Apparently their friendship rekindlation was short-lived after the Bad Boy mogul (shocker here) failed to make due on his promises. For those suffering from short-term memory loss, here's a recap as to why Diddy's and Shyne's relationship was strained in the first place:
Way back in the day Shyne was an artist on Bad Boy. He was at a NYC nightclub with Diddy and then-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez. Apparently there was a shoot out at the club that resorted in some serious injuries and a few deaths. Shyne wound up taking the rap for the shooting and spent a decade in jail.
As for the reasoning behind the diss track, Shyne revealed that he's angry with Diddy because the mogul, who offered him money has not delivered on his promise to get him reinstated for a U.S. visa through a White House petition (Shyne has been exiled to Europe). He also feels that Diddy should have taken care of Anthony “Wolf” Jones' mother. Anthony Jones was Diddy’s bodyguard and close friend before he was killed in 2003.
Here's what Shyne told Miss Info:
“Don’t give me any money, I don’t need it,” he said. “But take care of Ms. Jones. [Diddy] gave her $10k when I started talking to him, but that was it. But while we were in Paris, he spent half a million on his chick, Cassie… If it weren’t for Wolf, if it weren’t for me, things would be very different. There would be no Ciroc deal, he wouldn’t be worth close to a billion.”
Why is Shyne surprised at all that Diddy ain't nothing but a grimy ass hustler and a succubus of real talent? That man don't give a shit about nobody but himself, so to put your trust in someone that made you take the fall for their ass in some club drama once again makes you the fool. Also how is Diddy spending all that money on someone that no one cares about on the music front. At this point Cassie better do like the rest of Diddy's beards and poke a hole in a condom, because that's all she'll be able to do to keep some income coming in.
