When it comes to the world of music (25 million followers on Twitter, millions of albums sold, biggest selling singles artist on iTunes) and self-promotion, Rihanna has it down in spades. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for her transition into the world of TV and film. Rihanna had a starring role in the Summer film Battleship, which in turn became more like a flop than a blockbuster. Then she debuted her new reality show Styled to Rock on the network Skyliving in the UK and in three weeks since it's debut, the first week drew in 95,000, the second week-75,000, and the third week drew in 110,000 viewers this past Tuesday.
If it were some random model hosting the show the ratings would be far more forgiving. But it's Rihanna we're talking about here. her popularity alone should have garnered much bigger ratings. Maybe RiRi didn't do enough to let her gazillion Twitter followers know that the show was on, but based on these numbers I don't see this series getting a spin-off in the States.
