MARIAH CAREY'S ALBUM WILL BE OUT IN MARCH 2013

I'm guessing that since many critics (as well as her fans) haven't taken too kindly to her new Emancipation Of Mimi filler track Triumphant (Get 'Em), singer Mariah Carey has announced that her new album won't be out until March 2013.

And also since she will take a page out of JLo's strategizing handbook and use American Idol to revive her music career, she will tie her album and live performances with the release of her album, since AI begins it's 12th season in January.

Here's what Mariah's good friend, manager and soon-to-be American Idol co-judge Randy Jackson had to say about why the diva is releasing three versions of her new single to cater to different parts of her fan base (the urban crowd, the house heads and the pop fans):

“The vintage throwback mix will remind fans of remixes she did years ago, and she’s had a lot of Billboard No. 1 dance hits as well,” Jackson says. “She went in and re-sang the vocals, knowing that the two verses on this first version of this single with Meek and Ross were going to be hip-hop verses where people were rapping. We wanted to have something for all of her fans.”

Jackson also felt the need to defend Mimi from fans who have criticized that Meek Mill and Rick Ross overshadow Mariah on her own single (her vocals clock in at approximately 2:25)

“Most people probably don’t understand this, but you always play to what’s best for the song. You don’t go in and say, ‘Wait a minute. I know they’re rapping on these verses, but I need to be singing on these verses. Me, me, me.’ It just turns out that way.”
Whatever Randy. You never have a real opinion when it comes to being on American Idol so why would you have one when it comes to your girl releasing a shitty single? It's a Mariah Carey single for Christ sake so why wouldn't the pop diva dominate her own song? Maybe she heard me when I said she needs to go back to the days when David Morales used to remix her singles because when Mariah went in and resang the vocals to her hits over a deep house beat, she had the church queens squealing like they were getting a Sunday sermon! As for releasing three different versions, when will these mainstream pop stars realize that you cannot be everything to everybody? Everyone is always trying to hit every base so they can get three times the cash. I don't mind remixes if it feels right, but the worst you can do is pander to different audiences just so you can be hot on every chart.
