JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE SHUTS DOWN NEW ALBUM RUMORS

Justin Timberlake has been spending the last couple of years working on his acting career, which has garnered him critical acclaim but has yet to produce box office numbers like say high-level actors such as Christian Bale or Channing Tatum. Fans have been hungry for new JT music since he dropped the excellent FutureSex/LoveSounds back in 2006, and according to a report by Digita Spy, producer Jim Beanz claims that the 31-year-old is recording a new album. But according to JT's publicist, the singer/actor has once again broken millions of fans' hearts saying that he is not working on a new album:

“According to Timberlake’s publicist, there are currently no plans for a new album, though JT is working with Timbaland on tracks for Shock Value 3,” the music site reports. “That’s it,” claims JT’s spokesperson.

Justin has only kept his name out in the music world by frequently collaborating with Timbaland on a few singles, and was even pushing a few artists on his record label (don't know what happened with that), but has not released a full-length album in almost six years. Beanz is quoted as saying that Timberlake is currently hard at work creating “crazy, crazy stuff” with Timbaland, who produced JT's albums Justified and FutureSex/LoveSounds.

“When I get back to the States I’m going to be helping out on Shock Value 3 with Timbaland and the Justin Timberlake project,” allegedly said Beanz (who has previously worked with Britney Spears on Blackout and Nelly Fertado on Loose) to Digital Spy. ”It’s still in the early stages, but they have a lot of tracks. While I’ve been over here in the UK they’ve been working, so by the time I get back they’ll have a whole load of ideas and I’m going to have to catch up!”

Beanz was also asked his thoughts on whether Timberlake was feeling pressure to top his last chart-topping, Grammy-winning album, 2006′s FutureSex/LoveSounds, replied by saying, “There are certain artists who live in the moment and the reason why FutureSex/LoveSounds was so amazing is because he didn’t try to top Justified.”

“There are certain artists who can get inside with great charisma and energy and make great music every time,” he continues. “So it’s not really about topping the last record, it’s more about topping music that comes on the radio.”

“Everything is so similar that it’s about topping that and doing something different, and that’s what they are going for,” he says, adding, “He’s going to kill it.”

At this point in Justin's career he has proven himself to be a talented singer/songwriter/producer, so he doesn't need to compete with the younger demographic to sell records. Besides, the industry is busy trying to mold Justin Bieber into solo JT 2.0 (something the Canadian flatly denies), so I'm sure there are a few industry folk who are glad JT's not out here trying to snatch a few male pop music wigs.
I know JT is really busy with his upcoming wedding to Jessica Biel in between bringing the laughs on Jimmy Fallon and SNL, designing decors for the home, making movies and running MySpace, and while I think he is a fine actor, I actually think he's much better in the studio than on the big screen.

Check out the trailer for JT's latest movie Trouble With The Curve, which also stars Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, John Goodman, Matt Lillard, and Joe Massingill
