AURAL ORGASM: MARIAH CAREY Feat. RICK ROSS & MEEK MILL - TRIUMPHANT (GET 'EM)

I know all the hardcore Mimi fans were dying to hear her new single Triumphant (Get ‘Em) and the not-so hardcore were looking to hear what the diva was up to on the musical front out of curiousity, but now that today is the day that we were to hear the single, apparently Miss Carey opted to unleash a 30-second snippet instead of the full track. You have to wait until Tuesday to hear the track and download it in full.

Triumphant (Get ‘Em) was produced by the singers' longtime collaborators Jermaine Dupri and Brian-Michael Cox, which explains why it sounds like the same music she's done since the Emancipation of Mimi album and beyond. I personally need to hear the entire song to come to a conclusion, but personally speaking there's no growth here. It's signature Mariah with the singer cooing over a laid back R&B track. I miss the David Morales days when she used to rework her vocals over a house track for her remixes. Mimi always sounded great on a dance beat. I'm not saying she needs to follow the current trends of EDM like every other washed up pop star is I'm just saying it may be time for Mariah to reinvent her musical wheel.

UPDATE: I just uploaded the full song, and my opinion doesn't change that it sounds like the same shit she's already done off The Emancipation of Mimi. It's also quite annoying that Meek Mill and Rick Ross are on the song more than she is. Time for a musical reinvention Mimi because it resembles the EOM track Stay The Night (thanx to NYC DJ David Serrano for the reminder on that song). Take a listen below...
