We are two weeks away from the season premiere of Project Runway (which has hit a milestone with it's 10th season, BTW), and Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia, Michael Kors and mentor Tim Gunn are back to judge a new line of designers who will be put through the ringer with some pretty creative challenges.
So creative, that I heard two contestants quit the show due to the insane amount of pressure you're put under (especially on a time-restricted reality show). Lord & Taylor also steps in to donate their accessories to the famed wall that the designers get to choose from when they are putting their outfits together. The season premiere will include a live runway show where the designers will show off their pieces in the heart of Times Square. That episode was filmed on June 15.
I had my love and hate moments with the All Stars season (my favorite challenge was when my favorite designer Anthony Williams got this hot shirtless guy in Union Square to give up his pair of shorts which left him in a pair of grey briefs that left nothing to the imagination) that aired last fall (a new season is currently being shot in New York City as we speak), but nothing beats the original (not even that horrid spin-off Project: Accessory). Anyways, I loved season 9 winner Anya, who learned to sew her garments four months before trying out for the show, and while I haven't seen any actual footage of the show during any Lifetime commercials, I'm always excited when a new season comes around.
