I am living for the shade in the world of reality TV, because it looks like scorned former America's Next Top Model judge Nigel Barker has found himself a job. The former model-turned photographer, who was recently fired from the tired CW reality series has jumped on board with Tyrannosaurus Banks' frenemy Naomi Campbell on a new modeling show.
As you all know Tyra cleaned house over at ANTM and fired Barker, Jay Manuel and Miss Jay and had them relplaced with model Rob Evans (who is alleged to be Tyra's boytoy) and Kelly Kutrone (who could use a heavy makeover herself) and some other irrelevant dude who has experience in the fashion world.
Well Oxygen is jumping on the supermodel bandwagon and has created a new show called The Face, and Barker has been hired as the host. Unlike ANTM, The Face is looking for a model to represent a major national brand and not be a springboard to keep certiain washed-up models relevant. Naomi, Coco Rocha and Karolina Kurkova will serve as the three judges. Somewhere in the world, Tyra is patting her sore scalp because her wig just got snatched!
I'm actually looking forward to seeing this show play out on Oxygen not only because I live for Naomi, but I want to see if this show will manage to so what ANTM couldn't do in 45 cycles and that's create an actual supermodel. Now all The Face has to do is hire Miss Jay to bring the cuntiness and fierce walking skills and The Face will be complete.
The Face is scheduled to premiere on Oxygen sometime in 2013.
