Days before her MDNA tour kicked off in Tel Aviv, Madonna got a lot of attention by including a mashup of Express Yourself/Born This Way/She's Not Me into her line up. Well now the pop queen is at it again, when in a recent interview she took another jab at Gaga. In a recent Brazilian television interview, Madonna continued to point out the similarities between Born This Way and Express Yourself, saying that she's a “big fan” of Gaga’s song before adding, “I’m glad that I could help her write it.”
This is about the fourth time Madonna has taken a swipe at Gaga over their songs sounding similar. She also called the song "reductive" in a interview with Cynthia Mcfayden and in a January interview with Newsweek the singer said she thought the similarities between the two songs were “interesting” and that her first reaction upon hearing “Born This Way” was, “What a wonderful way to redo my song.”
You can joke all you want, but to take credit for writing one of the worst dance tunes of 2011 is not something I would even joke about taking credit for. I love Madonna, but she should be the last one talking about someone's music sounding similar to hers, especially when she's been called out for stealing people's ideas and a certain song of hers sounding similar to a 90's track be Dee Lite. So if you're that upset that her song sounds like yours, just sue the bitch and move on because at this point no one cares.
