George "I'm Not A Racist" Zimmerman sat down for his first interview since killing Trayvon Martin, and of all places he chooses a safe environment like Fox News and Sean Hannity's show. During the interview he was asked about whether or not he regrets following Trayvon and he responded in a manner that is sure to fire up many black political activists and a few folks as well.
In the interview George insinuated that he is not a racist, but said it was God's plan for Trayvon to die. "I feel that it was all God's plan, and for me to second guess it or judge it…" he then trailed off.
I don't know how he feels he can speak for God, but when you are on a channel like Fox News, don't expect anyone over there to follow up that comment.
He also claims that Martin, who was unarmed told him, "you're going to die tonight" before reaching for Zimmerman's gun; and Zimmerman also told Hannity he doesn't regret the sequence of events that fateful night, including taking his gun with him.
I've got my fingers crossed that there is an attorney out there who will use this interview in court and put George away for the rest of his life, because I'm sorry I feel in my heart that George thinks he's a vigilante and was looking for trouble. I also feel that he might try and plead insanity based on how he was acting in this interview. He would like for us to believe that someone who is a grown ass man with a gun got his ass beat by a teenager who was armed with an iced tea?
When you are someone who is carrying around a gun and deliberately looking to attack someone, especially after the dispatcher told you not to follow Trayvon, you need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. This was a bullshit interview that never brought up the race question except for George to say he wasn't a racist and for both parties to blame the media for how George was portrayed. The issue of young black men being killed needs to be addressed in this country, be it white on black crime or black on black crime and the shit seriously needs to stop. I felt this interview was trying to get people to have sympathy for George, and I'm sorry but he's not getting any from me.
