Last week is was a shock to many Nina Sky fans that the Queens natives were releasing their long-awaited sophomore album Nicole & Natalie today, without any promotion. All we got was an album cover but no track listing as to which songs would be on the album. Now that the album, their first album of new material since they released their debut album six years ago and the excellent free 2010 EP The Other Side is available as a free download.
Production on the album is courtesy of Salaam Remi, Slimmy Neutron, Beau Vallis, Brenmar, and Nina Sky, and features a mixture of pop, dance and R&B. These eight tracks definitely show their growth as artists and I hope after the label disputes of the past they can get picked up by a better label who will ttuly support them as artists.
