I had the opportunity to see Leave It On The Floor a few months back when it premiered on Logo (all chopped up and poorly edited), and what I'm most excited about is that I can finally see the film raw and uncut when it comes out on DVD on August 14.
Leave It On The Floor, which is directed by Sheldon Larry is about a young man who is kicked out of his home after his mother discovers that he is gay. Looking for a place to stay, he comes across a cast of characters who are in the midst of the burgeoning world of L.A.’s drag ball scene. The film is funny, brash, emotional, full of singing, some fierce choreography, and, of course, Naomi Campbell fierce!
It didn't hurt that all the fantabulous choreography was brought to us by Frank Gatson Jr. (Beyoncé, Brandy) with songs by Bey's music director, Kim Burse. Definitely check for this movie when it comes out, especially if you love iconic films like Paris Is Burning.
