DIANA ROSS IS NOT A FAN OF MADEA
Glad to see I'm not the only one unimpressed by the nigger nonsense that plagues the majority of Tyler Perry's wretched Madea movies. Tyler Perry has been very vocal in interviews about working with Diana Ross on a potential movie project for years, but the music legend has been duckig his phone calls.
“She’s been ignoring me for years,” Tyler told Essence in an interview. “She’s the only person that I have dreamed of working with that will not return my phone calls.”
According to industry insiders, Ms. Ross refuses to work with Tyler because she feels his films are too lowbrow.
“Diana feels Tyler’s movies, TV shows and especially his main character ‘Madea’ have no substance,” an insider told The National Enquirer.
“Diana is all about her entertainment legacy,” the insider said. “The last thing she wants is to co-star in a cheesy comedy starring a Black man in a fat suit playing a half-cocked, angry old woman waving a gun.”
Besides myself being very vocal about Tyler making millions off the backs of blacks by exploiting the bafoonish stereotypes of his own people and shoving his melodramatic, preachy religious beliefs down viewers throats, he has been critisized by Spike Lee, Chris Rock, Steve Harvey and a few other black directors over the years. That's why I loved when we had a breath of fresh air from films like Think Like A Man, Red Tails, and Jumping The Broom.
I will say that although I dislike a majority of his movies (I recently saw Good Deeds and besides all the melodrama and "do good" preachiness, it wasn't bad), what I do like is that sadly, he's the only director who is employing most of Black Hollywood, which is why most won't come out and say anything negative about him.
