VIDEO: SSION - EARTHQUAKE
Dance/punk/performance art collective SSION is officially my newest queer obsession. Earthquake tells a coming of age love story between an enigmatic instigator and an alien-brother-lover resulting in the purest form of magik with a bit of feminism and Las Vegas showmanship thrown in for good measure, all shot in Kansas City.
While every other queer artist is busy taking themselves way too seriously by putting out shitty dance music (and some of the straight female ones who depend on their gay minions to make them look creative in ther videos), Cody Critcheloe (who looks like Santos from 1 Girl, 5 Gays) and his band SSION are the real deal and the future of out-of-the-box queer electronica.
